CT Transit Electric Bus Destroyed In Fire: State Police
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit.
HAMDEN, CT — A CT Transit Electric Bus was destroyed during a blaze Saturday morning, state police said.
At 7:32 a.m. the Hamden Fire Department responded to the CT Transit New Haven Operations and Maintenance Facility located at 2061 State Street in Hamden, for a fire involving a CT Transit Electric Bus.
The bus, which was parked outside the building, was completely destroyed, state police said. There was no damage to any other vehicles or the maintenance facility, state police said. Two employees suffered smoke inhalation, and two Hamden firefighters suffered heat exhaustion as a result, state police said.

All were transported to local hospitals, where they were treated and released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit. There is no criminal aspect, state police said.
