Decision Made For George Clinton & Parliament Funkedelic Concert Friday Night In Hamden
George Clinton & Parliament Funkedelic are scheduled to perform tonight as part of the free summer concert series at Town Center Park.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Arts Commission has announced that Friday night’s George Clinton & Parliament Funkedelic concert will be held as scheduled, outside in Hamden Town Center Park. In a 12:45 p.m. update, officials say the radar shows that the rain should be stopping by 3 p.m. Now that the decision has been made, the concert will be outside, rain or shine.
“We are fortunate that as a former golf course, our field drains very quickly and we expect the lawn to be firm to good tonight,” officials said in a post on Facebook. “The grass might still be wet, but lawn chairs and blankets are always welcome. Admission and parking are always free. We will have food trucks available to serve you, or, if you prefer coolers and/or picnic baskets are permitted.
“See you in the Park. For those of you who can’t make it, check in on Facebook, because we will be going live from time to time!”
