Decision Made On Summer Concert Show In Hamden Friday Night

With some potential stormy weather in the forecast, officials announce a decision on tonight's final show of the 2018 Summer Concert Series.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Arts Commission has announced that the final concert of the 2018 Summer Concert Series featuring Little River Band will be held outside at Town Center Park this evening, Friday, July 27. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. with local blues band, Cobalt Rhythm Kings, opening for Little River Band accompanied by the Hamden Symphony Orchestra who take the stage at approximately 8:15 p.m. Town Center Park is located at 2761 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.

“There is ample onsite parking that can be accessed through the Hamden Middle School parking lot (2623 Dixwell Avenue),” officials wrote in a press release. “There are lots of delicious food options from the onsite food trucks and concert-goers are encouraged to check them out. Audience members may also bring their own food and beverages (including alcohol in moderate amounts). Pets are prohibited with the exception of service animals. Smoking is strongly discouraged and permitted only in designated areas.”
