Dickerman House open for tours starting Sunday July 5th

Members of The Spring Glen Garden Club have been tending to the herb garden and flower gardens at the Jonathan Dickerman House, circa 1792 on Mt. Carmel Avenue across from Sleeping Giant Park, for many years, but; have made many improvements in the last few years.The house will be open for visitors on Sundays in July and August from 1-4 pm starting July 5^th.Stop by and see what life was like in Hamden shortly after it was incorporated in 1786.We are celebrating 240 years in Hamden this year.There is a handout inside that describes what herbs were used for at this time.
