Dog Bites Elderly Woman at Whitneyville Festival: Hamden Police
Police are trying to locate the owner to confirm the dog has received its vaccinations.

Hamden police are asking for the public’s help in locating a dog that bit an elderly woman at the Whitneyville Festival on Saturday.
Police said the woman was bitten by a dog at the festival, located at 1254 Whitney Avenue, around 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The victim was bitten on the right forearm and sustained puncture wounds, according to police. At that time she refused medical attention.

Police said the dog is described as a Standard Poodle, male, brown in color. It was on a leash. The owner is described as a white male 5-feet, 10-inches tall with black hair.
Animal Control Officer Chris Smith is trying to locate the dog and owner to get a confirmation on the vaccinations.
