Drive-Up & Go Free Food Distribution and more Food Resources

On every 1st Thursday of the each month, Family Engagement Coordinator for CSS @ Hamden Public Schools, Hector Velazquez Jr., receives 8,000-9,000 lbs of food at Hamden Middle School. The food is donated by CT Foodshare. The efforts to organize and facilitate the FREE FOOD distribution is coordinated by Hector and Hamden CERT. With the assistance of custodians, community volunteers and the support of the Superintendent of schools, they are able to serve anywhere from 170-200 families each month.
