The victim left the scene and later arrived at the hospital. Police said a bullet entered a residence and a parked car was also struck.

HAMDEN, CT — A 23-year-old Hamden man was injured in a drive-by shooting while he was walking on Warren Street Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to the area of First Street and Warren Street at about 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 2 on the report of shots fired. The victim had left the area before police arrived on the scene, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said a motor vehicle, described as a white-colored convertible with a tan interior and New York license plates, which was occupied by three black males drove toward the victim while he was walking southbound on Warren Street. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
