DUI Driver Involved In Multiple Hit-And-Run Accidents: Hamden Police
A man was arrested after police say he struck three vehicles and a large sign and fled the scene each time on Monday morning.

HAMDEN, CT — A Stamford man faces several charges after police say he was involved in multiple “hit-and-run” accidents and was driving while intoxicated on Monday morning. At about 8:30 a.m. on May 8, Hamden Police responded to multiple accidents that involved the same operator and vehicle, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the incident began when a vehicle, which was operated by Joseph Krueger, struck a parked vehicle in the parking lot of 105 Sanford Street. Krueger fled from the scene, according to Smith. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
“Moments later, while on Sanford Street, Krueger’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a large metal sign that is the property of a local business,” Smith said in a news release. “Krueger proceeded to the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Sanford Street, at which time he struck another vehicle. He again fled from the scene. Shortly thereafter, Krueger was involved in his third accident, striking a vehicle in the vicinity of Whitney Avenue and Waite Street.”
