Hamden, CT (August 4, 2011) – The Music Man Jr. will take center stage at The Square Foot Theatre from August 10-13, 2011 in the Hamden Plaza (2100 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden). Tickets are now on sale.
The Music Man Jr. is based upon one of the world’s best loved shows. It features the charismatic con man Harold Hill and his attempts to scam an entertainment-starved Iowa town by organizing a boy’s band. His plans go astray as he falls for Marian Paroo, the town’s starch librarian. This story about the joys of emotional risks will delight the audience.
The production, produced and choreographed by Jared Andrew Brown and Jennifer Kaye Pytlak for Quick Change Productions, is part of the theatre’s Children Series and will feature a cast of 30 children from the greater North Haven and Hamden area. The show is sponsored by The Jamie A. Hulley Arts Foundation.

Shows are at 12n on Wednesday August 10th and at 7:30p on Thursday August 11th, Friday August 12th, and Saturday August 13th. The mission of The Square Foot Theatre is to establish and maintain a venue for visual and performaing arts through support and education while providing opportunities to experience the arts, through observation, hands-on participation and education.
