Sleeping Giant Build, a Hamden/North Haven community-based Habitat house sponsor group, holds its 3rd Annual West Rock Challenge: 9 mile and 5 km Runs for Humanity.
The event takes place at Lake Wintergreen, West Rock Ridge State Park, Main Street. The 9-miler will begin at 7:30 a.m.; the 5 km race will begin at 7:45 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.

Onsite registration will begin at 6:45 a.m. and will close 15 minutes before each race. The event is being sponsored by D’Aniello’s Amity Bicycles and Woodbridge Running Co. Proceeds will help support Sleeping Giant Build’s upcoming homebuilding project, its fourth for Habitat.
