Father, Daughter Arrested on Drug, Gun Charges: Hamden Police
Police seized three guns, ammunition, marijuana and $6,000 cash while executing a search warrant on the home during the early morning hours.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden father and daughter face drug and gun charges after police executed a search warrant on their home last week.
Members of the Hamden Police Department Emergency Services Unit assisted the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Violent Crimes Task Force and the New Haven Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit in the execution of the search warrant at 128 Circular Avenue, second floor, during the early morning hours on April 29, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said officers located and seized a .32-caliber revolver, .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun, .22-caliber revolver, ammunition, approximately 600 grams of marijuana and $6,000.
Jorje Santiago and Venessa Santiago, both of 128 Circular Avenue, second floor, in Hamden were promptly placed under arrest and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.
Jorje Santiago, 47, was charged with possession of marijuana, sale of a controlled substance, operating a drug factory, criminal possession of a firearm and altering the identification of a firearm. He was detained at police headquarters on a $100,000 bond.
Jorje’s daughter, Venessa, 18, was charged with possession of marijuana, sale of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and altering the identification of a firearm. She was detained at police headquarters on a $25,000 bond.
