Members of the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations and the Hamden Police Department, executed a search warrant at Goldstein’s home on July 13 as part of an ongoing possession-of-child-pornography investigation, state police said at the time of the arrest.
The investigation was launched in June after video files of suspected child pornography were downloaded from the internet account assigned to Goldstein, according to police.
Goldstein wasn’t home when investigators arrived to execute the search warrant.
Authorities seized computers and computer-related equipment from the home during the search.
Examinations of the seized property were conducted at the scene, and files of suspected child pornography were located, according to police.
Police then took Goldstein into custody at his office.
