Former Hamden Hall Standout Closes Out Minor League Regular Season

It was his first season pitching for the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.

HAMDEN, CT – Former Hamden Hall standout Josh Zeid had an impressive first season pitching for the AAA Memphis Redbirds, finishing with 9-4 record.

The Redbirds had an impressive season, too – finishing in first place with 91 wins and 50 losses in the Pacific Coast League American Southern division.

They’ll now move onto the playoffs.

Zeid pitched 102 innings, some as a starter and some as a reliever, striking out 95 batters and giving up 117 hits.

Zeid was signed in the off season by St. Louis after starring for Team Israel during the World Baseball Classic.
