Fraternity Suspended At Quinnipiac University

Quinnipiac has suspended the fraternity following an investigation into "actions" that occurred during the spring semester.

HAMDEN, CT — Quinnipiac University has suspended a fraternity following an investigation into “actions” that occurred over the Spring 2018 semester, according to multiple reports.

The university’s chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has been suspended for two years, according to the New Haven Register. The university wouldn’t comment on what the actions were that led to the suspension.

The Quinnipiac Chronicle reports a letter written by Katherine Pezzella, Director of Campus Life for Sorority and Fraternity Life, to fraternity and sorority leaders implored them to “audit the level to which you and your members are (or are not) in compliance with University and inter/national policies for the purpose of setting new goals for the coming academic year… the actions of the Sigma Phi Epsilon members that led to this outcome were completely avoidable and well within their control.”
