She's been at Hamden Animal Control since August. Her puppies found homes -- now it's her turn.

Last August Georgia, a young pit mix, arrived at Hamden Animal Control, on the verge of giving birth.
A few weeks later, 10 pit mix puppies were born -- and not long after that, all went to their new homes, according to Animal Control Officer Chris Smith.
But Georgia remains...and desperately wants a family to call her own, Smith said.

"She had health some issues but she has been treated and is doing well," he said. "We had some interest in her, but for one reason or another it hasn't panned out."
Georgia has already been spayed and is up to date with shots, Smith said.

"She's wonderful with other dogs -- we have had her out with them and she has done well," he said. "She seems indifferent to cats -- when she walks by them, she is pretty indifferent."
