The Hamden Arts, Recreation & Culture Department is happy to introduce the official 2014 Holiday Ornament. This year’s selection is featuring The Ghost Parking Lot and the Hamden Plaza!
Created in 1978, The Ghost Parking Lot was designed to draw attention to its site- a modern day shopping plaza and the combination of automobiles and asphalt.

The pewter ornaments are $10 each, and will include a brief history of the Hamden Plaza and Ghost Parking Lot.

All ornaments are sold on a first - come, first - served basis. Also ornaments can be purchased at the Arts Commission office located in the Miller complex from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday-Friday.
Additionally, we have available our more recent ornaments, 2013 Miller Memorial Library & 2012 Hamden Police Department. Each is being sold for $10.
Lastly, we also have earlier editions such as 1997 Thornton Wilder House, 2002 Margaret L. Keefe School, 2007 Farmington Canal Greenway and 2008 Whitneyville Church as well as others. They will be sold at a reduced rate of $5 each while supplies last.
