Hamden, CT: Troop 60444 visited Duck Pond Day Care and Pre School Wednesday, April 17,2019. These Girls are Daisy Girl Scouts which starts in Kindergarten, however, the three Girls in the photograph are in the first grade. Next year they will be becoming Brownie Girl Scouts. Part of the Girl Scout program is when you bridge to a higher rank you will earn a Rainbow Bridging badge. You meet with an older troop as well as give back to a younger troop. Since our girls are the youngest Girl Scouts, the Girls decided to visit a local learning center that Avery used to attend when she was little.

The Girls visited all rooms. They read books to the infants and toddlers. But they spent the majority of the time visiting with the preschoolers that will be going into Kindergarten next year. The Girls showed the the Girl Scout promise, read them a story, taught them a song, talked to them about what it would be like going into Kindergarten and all the fun that they have had so far being a Girl Scout. They also left the students with a coloring sheet and a flyer about our May 4th Star Wars themed Tea Party, which is being held at Dunbar United Church between 2-4 pm.

Girl Scouts are Girl-led. They are brave and bold. They try new things and work on important skills and take the lead everyday in a no-limits environment.
