Goodwill Store Robbed In Hamden: Police
Police say the store manager was poked in the eye during a brief struggle after trying to stop two men from stealing two flat-screen TVs.
HAMDEN, CT — Police are looking for four people in connection with the theft of two flat-screen TVs from the Goodwill Store in Hamden the day after Christmas. Police responded to the store at 2901 State St. shortly after 1 p.m. on Dec. 26.
Police found that the suspects, described as two black men and two black women, entered the store and selected two flat-screen TVs from the shelf and went to the front of the store, according to Sgt. Anthony Diaz.
Diaz said the two women left the store while the men were at the checkout counter. The men then fled the store with the two TVs and entered a dark gray Jeep Compass with a dark-colored garbage bag on the rear window.

The store manager tried to stop the men from leaving and a brief struggle ensued over the TVs and the manager was poked in the eye, according to Diaz. The manager didn’t require any medical attention.
One of the male suspects was described as being 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing 220 pounds and wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans. The other man was described as being 5-feet, 10-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a dark blue robe and a white T-shirt.

The female suspects were described as being 5-feet, 4-inches tall, one heavy set and one thin, and both were wearing dark-colored coats, according to Diaz.
