Hamden 2016 Dessert Fest and Free Summer Movie Series: Complete Lineup
Hamden announces the food vendors booked for the Dessert Fest and the lineup of free summer movies at Town Center Park.

HAMDEN, CT — The 2016 Hamden Dessert Fest will take place on Friday, Aug. 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Town Center Park, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng announced.
Approximately 15 local and regional vendors will be serving up their specialties, ranging from deep fried Oreos, to hot donuts, cannoli, cupcakes, popsicles, ice-cream and more. A number of regular food vendors will also be on hand to satisfy your dinner cravings.
Among the confirmed food vendors at press time are: DiSorbo’s Bakery, Elm City Kettle Corn, Sugar Bakery, Dad's Food Truck, Caseus Cheese Truck, Christiano’s Hot Donuts, Shoreline Prime Food, Dee’s Flavors, 3 Chicks Grille, Spuds Your Way, Popcentric Gourmet Popsicles, Baskin Robbins Ice-Cream, Firedog Food Truck, and Bones in a Barrel BBQ.

In addition to the Dessert Fest, Aug. 12 will mark the kickoff night for the town’s Free Summer Movie Series.
There will be music by DJ BRY in the "Kids Zone" next to Josh's Jungle before PIXAR’s "Inside Out" starts as the sun begins to set. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for a true movie night in the park.

Parking is available at the Hamden Library, Hamden Middle School, Hamden Government Center, Hamden Memorial Town Hall and Police Department and on the South Lawn of Town Center Park.
The Summer Movie Series will run every Friday night from Aug. 12 to Sept. 16, with the following schedule:
- Friday, August 12: INSIDE OUT
- Friday, August 19: OCEAN'S ELEVEN
- Friday, August 26th: STAR WARS: EPISODE VII - THE FORCE AWAKENS
- Friday, September 2nd: THE BLIND SIDE
- Friday, September 9th: JURASSIC PARK
- Friday, September 16th: SPECIAL SHOWING OF THE NEW YORK YANKEES @ BOSTON RED SOX
