Hamden Announces Closures Due To Inclement Weather
Town officials are advising residents of closures due to inclement weather in the forecast.
HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are alerting residents of the following changes due to the anticipated inclement weather:
Transfer Station
The Hamden Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, Feb. 7 due to the anticipated inclement weather and associated clean-up operations, and is expected to reopen on Monday, Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m., weather-permitting.

Due to the closure on Saturday, Feb. 7, the Transfer Station will be open, weather-permitting, on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Miller Memorial Library

The Miller Memorial Library will be closed on Saturday, Feb. 7 and will reopen Monday, Feb. 9 at its regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.
Warming Center at Breakthrough Church
The overnight winter warming center at Breakthrough Church will be open 24 hours a day through Feb. 10, and then resume normal hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through March 29. Breakthrough Church is located at 481 Shelton Avenue in Hamden. Enter through the double glass doors at the main entrance. The Hamden Police Department Lobby at 2900 Dixwell Avenue is also available 24/7.
