Hamden Arts Commission Presents Puppet Show: 'The Dragon King'

The Hamden Arts Commission and the Hamden Arts, Recreation and Culture Department, will present a puppet show, “The Dragon King’, on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. as part of its 2014-2015 Saturday Afternoon Family Entertainment Series.

Admission is $2 for children; $3 for adults.

The Tanglewood Marionettes, a nationally touring marionette theater based in New England, will bring “The Dragon King,” one of its two nationally award-winning shows to Hamden.

This underwater fantasy is based on Chinese folklore, and features imaginative sea creatures, gripping adventure and an elusive king. The puppet company is known for its large, beautifully crafted marionettes, colorful sets and impressive theatrical effects.
