Hamden Arts Commission Presents 'Wizard of Oz' Puppet Show

The Puppet People, a popular troupe from New York, will make their Hamden debut on Nov. 8.

The Hamden Arts, Recreation and Culture Department will present a puppet show, “Wizard of Oz’, on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m., as part of its 2014-2015 Saturday Afternoon Family Entertainment Series. Admission is $2 for children; $3 for adults.

The Puppet People, a popular troupe from Schenectady, New York, will be making their Hamden debut with their adaptation of the beloved classic, “Wizard of Oz.”

This puppet fantasy features marionettes, shadow puppets and rod puppets and includes a large parade puppet.

The Saturday program will be held in the handicapped accessible Thornton Wilder Hall in the Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden.
