Hamden Bar Burglarized, Three Bottles of Liquor Stolen: Police

Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect, who threw a rock through the window to get inside: BREAKING

HAMDEN, CT — A burglar broke into the Highwood Bar and Grill and stole three bottles of liquor over the weekend, according to police.

Hamden Police responded to Highwood Bar and Grill, located at 903 Dixwell Avenue, at about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, on the report of a burglar alarm, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Responding officers found the front window shattered, according to Smith.

Smith said that investigation revealed that an individual, described as a black male, who was wearing a blue shirt with an American flag on the right sleeve, threw a rock through the front window to gain entry.

Once inside, three bottles of liquor were stolen, according to Smith.
