Hamden Bike Rodeo & School Supply Stroll Set For Aug. 28

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Police Department will host its End of Summer Bike Rodeo and School Supply Stroll from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Town Center Park.

“There will be several organizations giving out backpacks, school supplies, Italian ice, and more to the first 200 kids in attendance,” officials wrote in an email. “There will also be a Touch a Truck event, bike raffle, helmet fittings, and balloon sculpture in addition to treats for sale from Hamden's own DiSorbo's Bakery Truck. The Hamden Arts Commission will also be there giving out their free Summer Art Kits (up to 200).”

The event will be held at Town Center Park at 2761 Dixwell Avenue, and officials said to enter through Hamden Middle School at 2623 Dixwell Avenue.
