HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden boys lacrosse team's season came to an end with a 17-1 loss to fifth-seeded Staples in the second round of the CIAC Class LL tournament on Wednesday in Westport. The Green Dragons, who were the tournament's 12th seed, finished the season with an 8-9 record. HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden boys lacrosse team’s season came to an end with a 17-1 loss to fifth-seeded Staples in the second round of the CIAC Class LL tournament on Wednesday in Westport.

The Green Dragons, who were the tournament’s 12th seed, finished the season with an 8-9 record. Staples advanced to a quarterfinal showdown with fourth-seeded Wilton on Saturday.
