Hamden Cheer Team Advances To National Championships In Florida
The Hamden Pop Warner junior varsity cheer team recently placed second in the New England Regional championships.
HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Pop Warner junior varsity cheer team recently placed second in the New England Regional championships to advance to the National competition at Disney World in Florida on Dec. 5. The team placed second in the JV level 1 small sideline cheer division at the regional competition. The team is part of the Hamden Fathers Football and Cheerleading Association, also known as the Hamden Hurricanes.

“The girls have worked incredibly hard this season to qualify for this once in a lifetime opportunity,” according to a post on the GoFundMe page. “It has been over a decade since Hamden has had the opportunity to go to Disney World and we are extremely proud to represent our league. Thank you for your support as Hamden JV continues to Run the World. GO HURRICANES!”
