Judge James Pascarella (Hamden) is running for Hamden Legislative Town Council in part to "improve the towns fiscal position". When Mayor Scott Jackson left town for Hartford he endorsed Curt Leng for Mayor. The election cost taxpayers $20,000 dollars. Judge Pascarella could have served as Mayor and saved the taxpayers $20,000 dollars but he did not. Curt Leng served 6 months and was re-elected. During that period Judge Pascarella worked with the Legislative Council to raise ...Curt Lengs Mayoral pay $15,000 per year. In less than 12 months Judge Pascarella cost the taxpayers $35,000 dollars. The $20,000 election was on the backs of the taxpayers. A $15,000 pay raise after 6 months on the job is unwarranted especially when residents across Hamden are "livid" with the existing tax burden. When Curt Leng was elected in May 2015 the Hamden Mill Rate was 39. He has since jacked it 6.26 points to 45.26. Hamden just how much of Judge Pascarella's "improve the towns fiscal position" can you endure?
