Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

no

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

Board Of Education

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

Like many residents, I have been impacted by mismanagement, wasteful spending and high taxes. It is making it very difficult for residents to stay in their homes. I take this personally as I have encountered unstable living situations in the past. I pride myself with being honest and fair. I am committed to putting the residents of Hamden first. Hamden deserves someone that will have the best interest of the town with no political agenda. I have the passion, drive and commitment to foster positive relationships. I am the only qualified candidate with an extensive work history and leadership background.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Lack of affordability- Issue a RFP for an audit of our town's finances.

Keep spending neutral while addressing ways to improving the town's bond rating.

Evaluate all open contracts with town vendors and employees.

Hire a full-time grant writer to apply for state and federal grants on a continuous basis for projects that benefit Hamden's residents.

Growing our grand list by working with a strong economic development team that will bring in businesses. Making it more appealing for business to come to Hamden by bringing permit costs in line with neighboring towns.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am honest, transparent, positive and bring unity. My opponent has a history of being divisive and is only interested with being a mayor to those who only share her ideas and interests. A mayor's job is to represent the entire town. I am working with Republicans, Democrats, Independent, and Unaffiliated voters across Hamden to address their needs. Hamden is worse off than when she took office. Crime is up, taxes are up, morale is down. My focus is on rebuilding Hamden for residents, not building my resume. My opponent sold Hamdenites a dream but this has been a nightmare due to her radical policies, lack of transparency and unkept promises.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way do you believe the current officeholder has failed the community?

My opponent is more worried about building a community center that residents do not want instead of addressing the huge infrastructure issues around town like in the 5th District. She has failed the community with dealing with crime. Hamden has the fourth largest crime rate in the state, yet my opponent claims those are just scare tactics.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

My key areas that I will address is: affordability, crime, unity and transparency.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have leadership certificates and numerous achievement awards. I manage multi-million dollar budgets and solve complex issues. I have several years being a mentor and serve as a Young Adult Pastor.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Give your all to everything you do and always be truthful.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I have extensive background with managing people and solving complex problems. I chose a career in healthcare to serve and care for others. I am a leader both in my professional career and personal life. I am a mentor young adults and take pride in bringing people together.
