The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Unfunded debt burden contributing to high property taxes and understaffed departments that provide essential services. I intend to support our mayoral candidate's plan to institute zero-based budgeting. Each department's line item requests need to be carefully examined. We have to achieve cost savings in the budget for the next fiscal year.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I know very little about my opponent in this race. I haven't met him and I haven't seen him. As I canvas throughout the district and I haven't met anyone else who has met or seen him. I don't know what his platform is.
Accomplishments:
Graduated from college then law school with a Doctor of Laws Degree. A successful career in public service as a law enforcement officer with the City of New Haven. A trial lawyer, trained to think logically, analyze information, and formulate cohesive arguments for or against a particular proposition. A history of volunteering in my community such as: youth sports, mentoring, PTA President, food donations, and pro bono legal services for low income clients.
Other issues:
Public safety plays a key role in maintaining the quality of life in Hamden. I support our first responders. Economic development is essential. We must attract businesses to our community.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I'm a lifelong Hamden person. I'm a problem solver and not a politician. I will work in the best interests of the citizens of Hamden.
