Hamden Firefighters to Honor Boy Battling Leukemia at Annual Benefit Golf Tournament
Christian Reynoso, 4, has a passion for firefighting and will get Thursday's tournament started.

Christian Reynoso, a 4-year-old Hamden boy battling leukemia with a passion for firefighting, will be the guest of honor at the Hamden Professional Firefighters Local 2687’s annual benefit golf tournament.
Christian will get the tournament started by hitting the first ball off the tee at around 9:25 a.m. before others tee off.
The golf tournament, which will be held Thursday, Oct. 1 at Laurel Country Club rain or shine, benefits the local charities the union donates to during the holidays and throughout the year.

Firefighters will also have a donation Halloween bucket for Christian set up at the table and Christian will get to keep the bucket.
Christian recently visited with firefighters and received a special tour of the department’s Tower Ladder.

A GoFundMe account has been launched on Christian’s behalf, Fire Trucks for Christian, with all proceeds going to help support him and his family as he undergoes treatment.
