Hamden Football Coach Resigns

Todd Dowty has stepped down after three seasons.

Hamden High School football coach Todd Dowty has resigned after three seasons at the helm, according to GameTimeCT.com.

The Green Dragons have had six straight losing seasons and Dowty, 60, was 6-26 during his tenure. Hamden went 1-9 this past season.

Athletic Director Tommy Dyer told Joe Morelli of the New Haven Register/GameTimeCT that the position will be posted within the Hamden school district in January and will then go outside the system, if needed.
