Hamden Hall Graduate Selected by Los Angeles Dodgers in MLB Draft

A former baseball standout from Hamden Hall Country Day School was selected during the three-day Major League Baseball draft last week.

Austin French, a left-handed pitcher currently at Brown University, was chosen by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 27th round with the 821st overall pick.

French was one of 11 players with Connecticut ties who were drafted. The complete list follows:

• Michael Gonzalez (Norwalk High School), RHP, 24th round, 711th overall, Milwaukee Brewers
