Hamden Hip-Hop Artist Returns With New Lyrical Project

The Hamden resident is a classically trained musician and composer who released his first hip-hop single earlier this year.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden resident who is a classically trained musician and composer has followed his debut as a hip-hop artist with a new lyrical project.

Robert Z. Barnes, who is known as REBL, followed the release of his hip-hop single “Focused” with his lyrical sophomore project, “Defiant.”

“This latest release contains nuances that call out his classical and orchestral influences while doubling down on his position as a growing vocal artist,” according to a news release.
