HAMDEN, CT — The town’s Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. at Town Center Park, 2761 Dixwell Ave., on Saturday, Dec. 4.
There will be caroling and children can bring already written letters to Santa (for non-contact visits with Santa).
Officials said this year’s event will be a simple tree lighting and not the usual full Silverbells Festival due to COVID-19 precautions.
