Hamden Issues Parking Ban
Snow is expected to continue to fall into the early evening.

HAMDEN, CT — A parking ban has been issued for the town of Hamden effective Tuesday, Jan. 31 beginning at 3:30 p.m. until 12 noon on Feb. 1, Mayor Curt B. Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare announced in a press release.

This ban is being declared pursuant to Section 71.03 of the Code of the Town of Hamden. The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.

The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any Town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.
