Hamden Lifts Parking Ban

The town is terminating the parking ban on Monday morning.

Mayor Curt B. Leng has announced that the parking ban for the Town of Hamden is terminated effective Monday, Jan. at 11 a.m.

This termination of the parking ban is being declared pursuant to Section 71.04 of the Code of the Town of Hamden.

Mayor Curt B. Leng has issued a parking ban for the Town of Hamden effective Friday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. until further notice. This ban is being declared pursuant to Section 71.03 of the Code of the Town of Hamden.

The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.

The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any Town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.
