Hamden Makes Decision On School For Wednesday

Another nor'easter is expected to have significant impacts on the area today.

Due to today's weather, officials have announced that Hamden Public Schools will close early at the following times on Wednesday, March 21: HCLC-10:00, HHS-10:30, Hamden Transition Academy-10:45, HMS-11:00, Church St, Dunbar Hill, Helen St and Shepherd Glen-11:30, Bear Path, Ridge hill, Spring Glen, West Woods-12:00, Alice Peck-Full Day, Extended Day and Morning PreK-11:15 and Afternoon PreK cancelled, School Readiness classes dismiss on own schedule.

A nor'easter is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to the area today. The snow should be at its heaviest this afternoon and evening before it tapers off around midnight.

This is the fourth straight nor'easter Connecticut has seen over the past month. Power outages are expected to be less of a concern this time because while winds may gust to 30-35 mph at times, it won't approach the strength of previous storms.
