Hamden Man, 59, Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen
Police say the man was arrested after an extensive investigation.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager over the summer, according to police.
James Ramunni, 59, was arrested on a warrant Oct. 21 following an extensive investigation, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said Hamden Police began investigating the reported sexual assault of a teenager in June of 2016.

After an extensive investigation, Detective Angelo DeLieto submitted an arrest warrant application for Ramunni to Meriden Superior Court.
Ramunni was arrested at his residence on Wilmot Road in Hamden on Oct. 21 and was promptly transported to police headquarters, according to Smith.

Ramunni was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was released after posting a court-ordered $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Nov. 4.
