Hamden Man Accused of Stabbing Father Over Television Issue

Jeffrey Milano, 21, was arrested early Thursday morning.

A Hamden man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his father over a television issue early Thursday morning, according to a police press release.

Police responded to 760 Mix Avenue on Nov. 13 at about 5 a.m. on the report of a domestic dispute, involving a stabbing.

Upon arrival officers spoke with Michael Milano, who stated that his son Jeffrey Milano was upset with him regarding an issue with the television, according to police.

Police said Jeffrey Milano subsequently stabbed his father three times. Michael Milano suffered stab wounds to the chest, hip and forearm and was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.

Police said his injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Officers proceeded to Milano’s residence and arrested Jeffrey Milano without incident. He was promptly transported to police headquarters.

Jeffrey Milano, 21, of 760 Mix Avenue in Hamden, was arrested on a charge of first-degree assault. He was detained on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court Thursday.

Officer Robert Villano conducted the investigation.
