Hamden Man, CTtransit Worker, Dies Of Coronavirus: Report

The man is the first CTtransit worker to die from the coronavirus.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man has become the first CTtransit worker to die from the coronavirus, according to the New Haven Independent.

The Independent reports Howard G. Rogers Jr., 55, died Thursday night at Yale-New Haven Hospital after 48 days in the hospital. He was the first CTtransit worker to be diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 26.

His wife, Denise Rogers, was also hospitalized with COVID-19 but has since recovered, according to the Independent.
