Hamden Man Pushed Woman, Fought With Cops: Milford Police

Police say the accused had to be tased by officers.

MILFORD, CT — A Hamden man was tased by Milford police after he allegedly pushed a female and tried to fight with police officers, police said. On Sept. 17, police responded to a large crowd complaint on Daniel Street near Eli's Restaurant, police said.

While dispersing the crowd, officers observed Richard Davis, 26, of Pinerock Avenue in Hamden, push a female and then attempted to place Davis under arrest, police said. Davis fought with officers and needed to be tased in order to place handcuffs on him, police said.

He is charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an arrest. He was given a court date of Oct. 10.
