Hamden Man Robbed at Gunpoint while Sitting in Parked Car

The robbery occurred Friday morning on Fourth Street.

A 24-year-old Hamden resident was robbed at gunpoint Friday morning while sitting inside his parked car on Fourth Street, Police Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.

Hamden Police responded to Fourth Street at about 11 a.m. on the report of an armed robbery.

Smith said the victim was sitting inside of car when an individual entered through the passenger side door. The individual pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded his belongings. The individual subsequently fled with the victim’s cell phone and a one dollar bill.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect, described as a black male, fled in a silver-colored sports utility vehicle (pictured), which was parked on Beaver Street.
