Hamden Man Stabbed by Estranged Brother
Richard Jeannette, 42, allegedly stabbed his brother in the torso after they visited their father at a physical rehabilitation facility.

A 42-year-old Meriden man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his estranged brother, a Hamden resident, in the parking lot of a physical rehabilitation facility in North Haven where their father is receiving treatment, according to police.
North Haven police said Richard Jeannette and his brother were visiting their father at the facility, located on Quinnipiac Avenue, Sunday night when an argument ensued.
The brothers continued the argument in the parking lot and a physical confrontation ensued, according to police.

During the fight, Richard Jeannette stabbed his brother in the torso, according to police.
Police said the victim fled to his Hamden residence and called authorities. He was treated by Hamden Fire Rescue and then transported to an area hospital where he was treated for the non-life threatening injury.

Richard Jeannette was taken into custody and charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $100,000 bond and arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday morning.
