Surveillance Photos Released of Knifepoint Hamden Market Robbery: Update

The incident occurred early Tuesday morning on Whitney Avenue.

HAMDEN, CT — Police have released surveillance photos from the early Tuesday morning robbery of Krauszer's Market on Whitney Avenue in Hamden.

The suspect was armed with a pocket knife and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash during the 6 a.m. robbery.

"Investigation revealed that an individual, described as a white male, wearing a black mask, black jacket and gray pants, entered the store and asked the clerk for cigarettes," Hamden police wrote in a staement. "The individual then displayed a 'pocket knife' and demanded the contents from the cash register. He subsequently fled on foot, northbound, through the parking lot, with an undisclosed amount of money."

Sergeant Jason Venditto and his K-9 partner 'Viking' tried to track down the suspect, but they were unsuccessful. The preliminary investigation was conducted by Officer Devin Eaton.
