Hamden Native Named New Women's Lacrosse Coach At Albertus Magnus

The Sacred Heart Academy graduate was also a standout player for the Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden native Kaitlin D'Agostino has been named the new head women’s lacrosse coach at Albertus Magnus College, the school announced Thursday.

“Kaitlin was a highly decorated student-athlete and active member of the campus community while both an undergraduate and graduate student,” Albertus Magnus Athletic Director Michael Kobylanski said. “She knows the standards and expectations that go with putting on a Falcons uniform. We look forward to seeing Kaitlin lead our program.”

D'Agostino recently finished up her playing career at Albertus in 2023. As a student-athlete, she was a two-time recipient of both the MVP and Falcon award for women's lacrosse. Also, she received the Female Scholar-Athlete Award in 2019 and served as a team captain in 2020 and 2023.

She holds the program record with 110 points and 86 goals in 65 career games for the Falcons.

D'Agostino served as a volunteer assistant field hockey coach this past fall season for Albertus and was previously a volunteer assistant coach for both the varsity and junior varsity lacrosse teams at Sacred Heart Academy.

D'Agostino was also a competitive figure skater and was a member of Team USA for the 2021-2022 Synchronized Skating season. She is a two-time junior bronze medalist at U.S. Collegiate Nationals.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Art with a concentration in Graphic Design in May 2020, and then a Master of Business Administration in May 2023.
