Hamden Parents File Lawsuit Against Airline Following Daughter's Abduction
Nathan Salas, 29, was arrested for kidnapping after picking up a 14-year-old girl he allegedly met online and taking her to California.
The parents of a 14-year-old girl in Hamden that got on a plane with a 29-year-old man she allegedly met over the internet and flew all the way to California, are suing the airline for not doing enough to protect their daughter, according to WFSB 3.
WFSB reports that Nathan Salas was arrested for kidnapping and that he met the victim while playing an online video game and flew from California to pick her up at her home in the middle of the night.
The girl’s unidentified parents are blaming U.S. Airways for allowing a 14-year-old to fly without parental permission, according to WFSB.
