The substation will be equipped in a manner that virtually duplicates the typical office experience of our officers at the main headquarters facility. Accommodations at the substation also include rest room facilities and a meal break area.

These amenities will allow police personnel assigned to the geographical sectors in the northern section of Hamden to remain on the street with greater frequency, thereby increasing our overall presence in the area.

The substation will also serve as a meeting point for scheduled encounters with the public who may not have the means to travel to our main police facility, and serve as a strategic launching point for our Bicycle Unit patrols on the Farmington Canal Trail.
