Hamden Police Interrupt Burglary-In-Progress, Arrest Suspect
Police found the suspect in the doorway of the home, carrying a leaf blower.

Hamden police interrupted a burglary-in-progress on Sunday and apprehended the suspect, who was found standing in the doorway carrying a leaf blower.
Moments after responding to a Piper Road residence on the report of a burglary-in-progress, Officer Robert Manfield observed Leonard Flynn standing in the doorway, carrying a leaf blower, Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.
Flynn was promptly placed under arrest.

Smith said investigation revealed that Flynn forcibly entered the residence by breaking the front window with a blunt object.
Flynn, 55, of 585 Ella Grasso Boulevard, New Haven, was arrested on charges of third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Flynn, who was detained on a $5,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Aug. 7.
