Hamden Police Investigate Shots Fired in Pizza Place Parking Lot

There were no reported injuries or victims in the incident, which occurred early Saturday morning.

HAMDEN, CT – Hamden Police are investigating after shots were fired in the parking lot of Slyce Pizza, 141 Arch Street, early Saturday morning.

There were no reported injuries or victims in the incident, according to Sgt. Anthony Diaz.

Police responded to the area of the pizza place at about 2 a.m. on March 12 on the reports of shots fired.

Several officers were in the immediate area at the time of the incident and reported hearing one shot, according to Diaz.

Diaz said evidence was collected in the parking lot near the Fairview Avenue entrance.

Surveillance video from the restaurant showed a tall, thin black male walking through the parking lot moving toward Fairview Avenue, when he pulled a handgun out of his jacket pocket and fired it in the direction of the parking lot, according to Diaz.

The male subject and several others are then observed running northbound on Fairview Avenue.
