Both cases have been ruled homicide. Police are awaiting a positive identification of both victims.

Update:

Hamden Police are investigating the suspicious death of at least two men in the parking lot of the Broadmoor Apartments complex on 680 Mix Avenue.

Police were on the scene investigating Tuesday evening and planned on continuing the investigation overnight and for the foreseeable future with help from the FBI and New Haven Police, according to NBC Connecticut.

Police Chief Thomas Wydra told NBC that someone walking in the parking lot noticed there was at least one person in distress inside and called police.

Witnesses also reported hearing a sound like fireworks or gunshots on Monday night, according to NBC.

Wydra told NBC that police believe the men that were found dead had been in the car for a while.

The men were dead when police found them and Wydra said investigators discovered that both men had been shot in the head, according to the New Haven Register.

Wydra also told the Register that based on the information that was available on Tuesday, police believe it’s a double homicide rather than a murder-suicide.
